Let’s Dive into what makes these guys great!
1. Jonathan Taylor
Stud and there is no denying this. The Colts love him and he is the workhorse in Indianapolis. There is no doubt that he will continue to be the guy there and will thrive if he continues to be healthy. I do feel he had a pinnacle year last year and the number he had will be hard to duplicate. I still feel he is easily a top 3 pick in fantasy football 2022. Jonathan Taylor is a true stud!
2. Derrick Henry
Henry is a beast and he put up top 10 RB stats with only playing 8 games last season. 10 TDs, 219 rushing attempts, and 937 yards is no joke for only playing the 8 games. I am looking for a massive bounce-back season from the king in 2022. The injury won’t hold back this stud for long.
3. Najee Harris
The Mainstream fantasy football sheep slept on him last year and he proved me right and the haters wrong. Najee is a workhorse stud who will only see more volume and production next year. With Big Ben retiring, the big question is who the QB will be and how often he will feed Najee with passing targets. Either way, no one on the Steelers will be stealing volume from Najee Harris in 2022. He will continue to eat and thrive.
4. Christian McCaffrey
Not my favorite player at all, but the talent is there. We are talking reality here and from that standpoint, he is one of the most gifted athletes on the planet for the RB position. Injury has played a big part in his decline over the past few years, but I feel he will get one more good year. This 2022 season is a make-or-break season for McCaffrey and he must bounce back or he is done for good.
5. Dalvin Cook
No way but down for Cook moving forward and he may have one more season left in him if he is lucky. I am not drafting him in fantasy but in reality he is one of the most talented RBs to ever step on the field in recent years. He is elusive, quick and very productive when he is not hurt. Still has yet to finish a full NFL season, and i don’t think he ever will.
6. Ezekiel Elliott
A decline has been happening over the past three years for this solid and durable stud. Ezekiel Elliott has been safe and solid at best but has lost his upside. When you look at an ideal body type and skill set for a workhorse back its Zeke. Safe and boring but get the job done. His best year could be behind him, but 2022 will be the telling tale.
7. Javonte Williams
Melvin Gordon needs to go away asap. Javonte Williams is the future and rushed for just under 1000 yards with only 203 attempts. Melvin Gordon Hoarded away 8 rushing TDs away from Javonte as well. Melvin Gordon needs to be shipped off to another team and they need to let Williams run wild.
8. Cordarelle Patterson
Impressed me a lot in 2022 and showed the world that he is the ultimate dual-threat RB. He can catch better than almost any other running back and play the rushing game really solid as well. I like him a lot as a guy that can do a lot on the field and he has broken out after years of mediocre play. Coming into the league as a WR with the Vikings he has really shined with the Falcons. The question is can he stay consistent with his solid play? 2022 will tell us the truth.
9. Leonard Fournette
Years of wasting away in Jacksonville, Uncle Lenny has shined in Tampa Bay. Proving he can do it all he has shown that he is one of the best reality RBs in the league and a key factor in winning.
10. Alvin Kamara
Talent and amazing pass-catching ability over the years consistently are why he made my list. Alvin Kamara is the real deal but his success is heavily dependent on catching a lot of balls. With Brees gone there has been a solid decline. He has one-two more years left in him to show us what he’s got.
