Ezekiel Elliott vs Tony Pollard

We dive into this topic in this episode as we try to uncover who will get the bulk of the carries this season. It is obvious that Ezekiel Elliott is the main man, but the question is how much will Tony Pollard dip into the volume. After discussion, it sounds like Tony will be used much more in the passing attack and maybe in the slot as well.

Zeke was dealing with a partially torn PCL last season and didn’t get as much volume as he should have. This year he should be the main man still and hopefully see a slight uptick in the attempts based on last year. One thing we have learned over the past few years is that his volume has been declining and he may never be the Zeke from his rookie year. Wide Receivers and More

The wide receiver core has some question marks this season. You won’t have Gallup for the first few weeks of the season, and can Cee Dee Lamb handle the WR1 spot? After talking with Jon, he should confident in the Dak and Lamb connection. Lamb does have the talent and the speed, but how good is he at that 1 Position is the big question.

They also drafted Jalen Tolbert who could be a special player this year, but we don’t think that his ceiling is going to be very high this season.

Overall you should have a Cowboys team that will be very similar to last year, and minus a few known weapons like Amari Cooper. The difference for them winning as a team more will rely on the defense stepping up and taking charge.
