Waiver Wire Week 2 Pickups. The Counselor lays out who you should be considering picking up off the waiver wire for week 2.
Week 2 Waiver wire is already here! What a first week of NFL football, and it was exciting. There were a lot of highs and lows along with some injuries. You need to make sure you stay sharp on the waiver wire to cover your positions in case your players went down or you just want to add depth. Here are your week 2 Waiver wire pickups by position.
Quarterbacks
Mitch Trubisky – Mitch had a great week and that was in part because he had a great matchup. He also has his job on the line. He would and could potentially be a solid back up for you. Worth a mention here.
Garner Minshew – Looking solid after week 1. 3 TD’s in one game is something we all hope continues moving forward for this young man.
Running Backs
Nyheim Hines – River likes his pass-catching RB’s. This guy could be the Ekeler of 2020 Fantasy Football. I love Taylor but Hines couple eat in the receiving game.
Peyton Barber – Not excited about this player at all but he made a case for himself to be on here with this 2 TDs and goal-line work in week on.
Joshua Kelley – You should have this guy stashed on your bench and he is the reason I did not want to draft Ekeler this season.
Benny Snell – He ran hard in week on and Conner got hurt… I like the upside here. 19 rushing attempts and 113 yards makes for a solid week on performance. But don’t get too excited.
Wide Receivers
Jamieson Crowder – 13 Targets is exciting, but the NY Jets are not. Worth grabbing is you need a WR.
MVS and Allen Lazard – I think Lazard is the guy that will prevail as the WR 2 in Green Bay
Russel Gage – Could be a one week wonder.
Corey Davis– If Corey Davis is healthy could be a solid WR this entire year. He just has to stay on the field.
Tight Ends
Logan Thomas
CJ Uzomah
Jimmy Graham
