The Landscape is going to change big time this upcoming year with Tom Brady no longer being on the Patriots. I personally don’t draft any fantasy football players from the Patriots. When it comes to the running back position they always go with the RBBC ( Running back by committee) this is something I can’t stand when it comes to fantasy football. Give me my workhorse and never draft RB’s in major committees. That being said there could be some fantasy football sleepers this year with the QB change at WR. Jakobi Meyers is a perfect example of a guy that could do some special things this upcoming season and per our conversation with our analyst Colby.
The problem is now with Stidham potentially coming in at QB, you will have a lot of uncertainty for fantasy. We don’t know for sure who will be getting the ball more and who will see the volume and targets at any position. You are better off just avoiding the potential hazard that is the New England Patriots. Stay far away. Go for a team with players that are proven and you know will get that fantasy football production game in and game out. Minimize the risk and you will feel a whole lot better.
When it comes to the TE position that is really suspect. They may want to address this in the draft. The New England Patriots seem to find at all the offensive positions minus the Tight end. They may also look at a new wide receiver as well because Julian Edelman is the only guy that is really proven. This will be a full rebuilding year and they could be the underdog in their division without Brady. It will be interesting to see if Stidham steps up at quarterback. He did have the best QB as a mentor to help him grow.
