We are joined by Texans Beat writer Aaron Wilson today to discuss everything Houston Texans and their fantasy football and team outlook for 2022. Discussing the entire team including Dameon Pierce, Davis Mills, and Brandin Cooks to name a few.

Is the Texan’s team fantasy relevant in 2022?

On this fantasy football podcast, we dive into the main and relevant fantasy players including Brandin Cooks. This offense is in a rebuilding year and you shouldn’t expect explosive fantasy numbers from any of the players. Cooks should see a lot of volume this year and will be a reliable target for Davis Mills.

Marlon Mack is set to be the starter this year, but not expecting anything special out of him at all. Dameon Pierce comes in as a rookie drafted in the 4th round, but according to Aaron, it looks like Pierce’s ceiling will be limited and will be used in shorter yard situations. It really is Marlon Mack’s job to lose this season.

As I always said with Marlon, he has had years to wow me and I am not wowed. I am hoping that Dameon takes that job this season.

Davis Mills Expectations

From the discussion we just had, it looks like Davis Mills will be a safe QB at best this season. He will be efficient and will move the ball down the field with little interceptions thrown. Will this get the Texans to the Super Bowl? We unlikely, but they will get some wins this year and plan on building a better team for next year. Nothing to get excited about. Mills may end up with some big games, but not getting excited about him at all this season.
