Fantasy Football Mock draft with the Counselor selecting the 1st overall pick. Is it Christian McCaffrey or Saquon? Also, who do you get in the round following? We have the answers for the first 7 rounds, giving you a solid foundation for your draft.
When you are drafting first overall you have to look at who can actually finish first overall. The mainstream sheep analysts will just tell you to draft the guy that finished on top last year. They will not think outside the box and project the guy that could actually finish on top. This is old school mentality thinking. You have look at the regression from guys coming off record-breaking season. What goes up must come down and it very hard to trust CMC two years in a row, especially after a coaching and QB change. Look at the future and you will see Saquon does have the higher ceiling this season. He has an improved o-line and is hungry to have a big year. CMC already signed the big contract and is on a full stomach. I bank on hunger over guys that have had a big contact hangover.
It is also important to see who was taken in the first 7 rounds because you will build yourself out a solid foundation for your draft. In this particular draft, you see that we locked up Kenny Golladay and still managed to get 4 solid RB’s with no committees. We were able to steal Lenny Fournette and David Montgomery. After we took those guys there was really no workhorse RB’s left. Lock up those RB’s early as there is a ton of depth at the WR position this season. A ton of sleepers and upside players.
