Fantasy Football Rankings 2020 | Top 10 Rb’s Early list

Fantasy Football Top 10 Rb’s 2020, the very early list. The Counselor gives us his top 10 Rb list with the Counsel nation on zoom. Innovating a new way to interact with you the listeners.

Top 10 Fantasy Football Running Backs 2020 – Early List

  1. Saquon Barkley
  2. Ezekiel Elliott
  3. Christian McCaffery
  4. Derrick Henry
  5. Josh Jacobs
  6. Leonard Fournette
  7. David Johnson
  8. Alvin Kamara
  9. Todd Gurley
  10. Joe Mixon

This is the very early Top 10 List for the running back position and I will adjust this as we get closer to the NFL season and after the NFL draft. This change and the depth charts will change after the draft. I want to let everyone know this RB position is very volatile and you need to adjust accordingly and draft depth at RB. I speak about this a lot on my #1 fantasy football podcast and Youtube channel. I also dive in deeper about this in my Fantasy Football Draft Stategy as well and 16 Rounds Draft Solution.

Fantasy Football Rb Rankings 2020

Let’s dive into more detail about each RB and why they are worthy of the top 10 position for fantasy football 2020.

1. Saquon Barkley

Listen this guy is a workhorse and finished 10th in PPR last season while only playing 13 games. Not to mention the situation with him and the NY Giants was terrible. The Giants had a terrible o-line and no wide receivers. Shepard was banged up pretty much the entire season, which left Saquon Barkley seeing a lot of stacked boxes. The odds were definitely stacked against the run game, and Barkley battled some minor injuries.

Things will be looking up for Saquon this upcoming 2020 fantasy football season. Daniel Jones should be in the groove and ready to dominate in his second year. The O-line should be addressed in the NFL draft as well which will open things up for the run game as well. Overall natural talent and ability will help Barkley achieve amazing fantasy numbers. I love the upside here, and he is worthy of the 1st overall pick.

2. Ezekiel Elliott

When it comes to durability, talent, and consistency it’s gotta be Ezekiel Elliott. He is Mr. Safe when it comes to fantasy football. You will get the same production, and I don’t expect anything less than 290 attempts. The Cowboys will also begin to use their receivers more, which will take the pressure off Zeke. Tony Pollard may dip into the volume but it’s not a major concern here for me. This is why I suggest the robust running back strategy to help make sure you have the insurance you need at the Running back position.

Draft Zeke with confidence for 2020 fantasy football.

3. Christian McCaffrey

Christian is the most bulletproof fantasy football player in fantasy football. He had 471 PPR fantasy points last season, with 15 rushing TD’s, and 1005 receiving yards. The only problem is that what goes up must come down. CMC is due for a decline coming off two pinnacle years. The fantasy football rankings mainstream have Christian McCaffrey ranked 1st overall, and I don’t agree with this at all as he will decline in 2020. There are many changes on the Panther this season, new coaching, new QB and they will be passing a lot more. He cannot be the only effective piece of offense on that team if they want to succeed.

I still love the upside and talent of CMC, but I expect a decline that pushes him out of 1st overall pick. Remember what goes up must come down, and the big question is how much of a decline will he have?

4. Derrick Henry

The 2020 rushing leader and this king of 2020 fantasy football possibly right here. Now another guy that could finish in the TOP 5 yet again. The volume and upside is still here for Derrick Henry. He just signed a 10.2 million dollar franchise tender that secured him for another year. I still think he wants that big contract and will be motivated to continue to dominate. 1540 rushing yards was amazing last year but will be hard to duplicate in 2020. I still like him, but not as much as I did last year.

He is worthy to be a top 4 fantasy RB this season. I had him top 5 last year while the mainstream sheep slept on drafting him.

5. Josh Jacobs

Youth and upside are what is really attracting me to draft Josh Jacobs in fantasy football 2020. I will be aiming to draft him at the end of round 1 ideally as he will be the workhorse in Vegas in 2020. I can only imagine the Raiders look at drafting a top WR at the draft, and continue to make Jacobs their workhorse moving forward.

Josh was #13 in attempts amongst RB’s and finished #21 in PPR. While that doesn’t seem too exciting, it leaves more to be desired and the ceiling is high. He also played with a banged-up shoulder from week 7 and beyond and 13 games. A healthy Josh Jacobs is really exciting when you are looking at fantasy football 2020. Make sure you target him in your fantasy football draft.

6. Leonard Fournette

Leonard Fournette is the focal point of the Jags offense and their best player. Looking at his 2019 numbers, he finished 7th in PPR points amongst RB’s and was 7th in attempts. I like the volume and upside. If he stays healthy, look out we have a beast of a fantasy football producer. He only had three Td’s last year so there is such a high ceiling for him this season.

7. David Johnson

I love David Johnson for fantasy football 2020. The ceiling is high and he is a very talented running back. Understand, that he will be angry and ready to succeed this upcoming season as he has something to prove. Arizona did him wrong by starting Drake over him, and I believe he will be out for redemption.

Look for him to be used a lot in the passing game in Houston and get all the goal-line work. This could be a massive year for David Johnson, and I am excited to see him get back to his top form.

8. Alvin Kamara

He is going to be a 1-2 punch no matter what. I am expecting Kamara to do the same as he does every single year. 5 Rushing Tds and 80 receptions for a TOP 5-10 PPR finish. What you see from Kamara is typically what you get. I still feel there is a ceiling left for Kamara that is not tapped but is limited because he is always in a committee.

9. Todd Gurley

The new team that is high octane for 2020. Jam-packed with talent from Julio to Matt Ryan, Gurley joins the upside that is Atlanta. The Rams made the mistake last year of not using Todd Gurley to his potential, but I believe the Falcons won’t make the same mistake. He will eat and produce, and the Arthritis does not concern me if he is part of a robust RB draft strategy. I believe Gurley can easily finish in the top 10 in 2020.

10. Joe Mixon

This 10th spot is hard to fill for me. There is a lot of talent that could crack the top 10 RB’s in 2020. This list includes several rookies like Jonathan Taylor or Swift. Also, Kenyan Drake, Miles Sanders or Devin Singletary can crack this list as well. I chose Mixon here because he performs well in 2019 without a good o-line and no WR’s to distract the defenses. The outlook is good for Joe Mixon if he stays healthy.

So there you have it! The Early Top 10 Fantasy Football RB’s 2020. Be sure to check my Fantasy Football RB rankings on this website as I update them frequently.
