5 Overrated QBs that the Fantasy Football Counselor will not be drafting this season and the reasons why.
- Jalen Hurts
- Joe Burrow
- Kyler Murray
- Matt Stafford
- Aaron Rodgers
These guys can easily be avoided this season for the reasons stated in this video. Jalen Hurts is probably the most overrated QB here. Aaron Rodgers, coming off a pinnacle year, is another guy to avoid. There are really solid reasons why I won’t be drafting any of these guys this season. You have to skate to where the puck is going. We saw this last year with Lamar Jackson who was being drafted in the 2nd round and busted. It is ok to anchor your team with an ace QB but you do not want to overpay for them.
Also, I am not seeing the hype with Matt Stafford this season. I know he is on a new team but the fact that people want to rank him in the top 12 is crazy. He finished 15th in 2020, 29th in 2019, and 20th in 2018 amongst QBs. This is enough to turn me off and stay away. Yes, he has a team upgrade but that could mean he would need time to gel with the entire new offense. Matt Stafford is not the long-term solution in LA and he does not excite me at all.
Anchor your team with an ACE QB with massive upside and that is proven, not guys that are coming off pinnacle years or have done nothing in the NFL. Also, got to look at the weapons around the players to see is the QB has a shot to do well. Make smart choices with your QBs and always draft a solid backup.
