1. Don’t listen to the mainstream sheep rankings and advice
They lead you astray and lie to you every year. What the mainstream gives you is cookie-cutter rankings every single year. Watch this video as I dive into more details. Michael Thomas is the perfect example of this last year. They all told you to draft him in the first 5 picks and he busted due to injury.
2. Go Robust RB
Secure the most scarce position on your fantasy roster as early as possible. There is only a handful of RBs with a minimal committee and they need to be on your team. There is a ton of value at the other positions, except the RB.
3. Anchor your team with a proven ace QB and get a backup.
Qbs put up a lot of points and that is a fact. When you look at drafting a QB, the stats are there and you can easily find a QB that is consistent.
4. Do a lot of mock drafts
Perfect practice make perfect. Doing a lot of mock drafts will educate you and prepare you for the real thing. This will help you anticipate when the player you want to pick up will come off the board.
5. Aim high on the depth charts
Make sure you have players that will get a lot of volume and that are the #1’s on their team. While this may seem like common sense it actually is not. Most people aim for a popular player that is a #2 on a team over a #1 on a team that doesn’t have such a big name. Be smart and aim high on the depth charts and look at the talent.
