Many things have to fall in to place before you roster anyone and you have to be very picky with that selection. Never settle. Here are some tips to make sure you select the right person on your fantasy football team
- Make sure you the player you want has been consistent in their performance in the past. This is critical for your success. History reveals a lot fo clues and you want every edge you can get. You definitely don’t want to overpay for a player and have them bust on you.
- You need to make sure that the player you selected is talented. While this may sound like common sense, you have to understand that common sense is not that common anymore. The talent is revealed on the field and of course, you have seen it in college. All the players you draft have to be special talent. Especially those early picks. Again, never settle on the average player. Look for that it factor!
- The Situation is another key factor in selecting elite talent. The player much be in a situation where he will get a lot of volume. If they are a running back they should see a lot of volume and be in a minimal committee. If they are a WR, the should have an ace QB and get a lot of targets. Don’t just look at the players, look at the entire situation. The situation they are in can make or break the player.
- Volume is another factor when looking at your full fantasy football draft strategy. Make sure the will get a lot of targets and volume. I know this sounds like the situation, but this is focused more directly on workload.
Saquon Barkley has all the traits above to make him worthy of a 1st overall pick in 2020 fantasy football. He has a high ceiling and upside, and this is crucial. Note that in his last three games last season, Barkley had 94.3 fantasy points in three games. He had a great season and outperformed running backs that had more volume than him. Saquon had 217 attempts last year and had more fantasy points than, Le’veon Bell, Josh Jacobs, Todd Gurley, Joe Mixon, Phillip Lindsay and many more!
