Fantasy Football Wide Receivers that could bounce back for 2020 fantasy football.
The list of Fantasy Football WR’s that could bounce back for 2020 are:
- Stefon Diggs
- Calvin Ridley
- Tyreek Hill
- Davante Adams
- Mike Evans
A few honorable mentions include Juju Smith and TY Hilton.
Let’s break down some of the reasons these guys could bounce back and have a bigger 2020 fantasy football and NFL season in general.
Stefon Diggs:
Stefon Diggs is extremely talented. He was a TOP 10 wide receiver in 2018 but fell off a little but last year. In 2018 he had 150 Targets for 102 receptions, 9 TDs, and 1021 receiving yards. His target count and everything else went down last year and he finished 22nd in PPR amongst WR’s. Now he finds himself in a new home with Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills. The volume could be here and he should be the clear cut WR1. The only problem is that Josh Allen stated that he will continue to feed the ball to John Brown and Cole Beasley. He has that rapport with them. I definitely believe he will finish in the TOP 20 and beat last year’s stats. The question is by how much?
Calvin Ridley:
I love Calvin Ridley for fantasy football 2020. He should and could be a solid bounce-back player, and just a pure fantasy football sleeper. The upside here is that Austin Hooper is now gone and that could open up a lot of targets for Calvin. Hooper hoarded away 97 targets away from everyone else last season along with 75 receptions. The problem here is that Ridley has never exceeded 100 targets in a season, and the addition of Todd Gurley could have some targets going to the backfield. I love the upside of Calvin Ridley, and it should be an interesting offense to watch in Atlanta.
Tyreek Hill:
No way but up for Tyreek Hill, who only played 12 games last season. His targets were only 89 and he paired that with 57 reception and 7TD’s. Finishing 32nd in PPR amongst wide receivers. This is a massive drop compared to the year before where he finished #3 in fantasy points amongst WR’s. I still like the ceiling, but he is a player that has dealt with off-field issues and injuries. They also have a lot of mouths to feed, including Kelce and Mecole Hardman. Davante Adams:
Not much to say about Adams, other than he is a stud who missed some games last year and lost a lot of volume. The Green Bay Packers really relied on the run a lot last year and this hurt Adams. I feel this year if he is healthy he will be back to form. Aaron Rodgers is receiving a lot of criticism of people saying he is done being elite. I think both of these guys have something to prove for NFL 2020. It should be another interesting offense to watch this year.
Mike Evans:
Finishing 15th last year amongst WR’s will put a lot of doubt in drafting his this season. The addition of Tom Brady to the Buccs will also add a lot of uncertainty. We will have to wait and see who Brady will throw the ball more to. Is it going to be more Godwin or Evans? This is the big question. Brady tends to gravitate to a favorite receiver while also spreading the ball around to RB’s and lower end WR’s. It’s a mixed back of uncertainty. I like the upside but be cautious.
So there you have it, a solid list of wide receivers that could have a massive bounce-back season from last year. Make sure you target them in the perfect round to get the value!
