These are the top 25 fantasy football breakouts in 2026!

These are the top 25 fantasy football breakouts in 2026!
Fantasy football breakouts are everything. This is where leagues are won.
Not in the first round. Not in consensus rankings.
But in identifying the players who are about to go from:
👉 “meh” → elite production
This is the difference between:
- finishing middle of the pack
- and absolutely dominating your league
In this guide, we’re breaking down 25 fantasy football breakout players for 2026, based on:
- Opportunity
- Talent
- Situation
- Volume projection
- And most importantly… the CUDDY System
What is the CUDDY System?
This is how you separate yourself from the sheep.
Every breakout must pass:
- Consistency → Can they produce weekly?
- Upside → Do they have league-winning ceiling?
- Depth Chart → Will they get volume?
- Durability → Can they stay on the field?
- Youth → Are they ascending, not declining?
If a player checks these boxes…
👉 THAT’S where breakout magic happens.

You can watch the Full breakdown and read up on it below:
🚀 FULL BREAKDOWN: Top 25 Breakout Players
Ashton Jeanty (RB)
Let’s start here — because Jeanty has not hit his ceiling or come close to it yet. Last year he finished 11th among RBs and has the worsst o-line and team in the NFL.
Everyone thinks:
👉 “He already broke out.”
No.
He quietly finished RB11, and nobody is talking about it.
Stats:
- 266 attempts
- 975 rushing yards
- 3.7 YPC
- 5 rushing TDs
- 5 receiving TDs
That’s already borderline elite production.
Now ask yourself:
👉 What happens when:
- O-line improves
- offense improves
- QB situation stabilizes
This is a guy who can easily jump into: Top 5 RB territory
The ONLY concern?
Committee risk. But even with that:
👉 He has already produced with inefficiency so imagine improvement.
That’s a breakout.

Quinshon Judkins (RB)
This is one of the clearest breakout signals on the board.
Stats:
- 230 carries
- 827 yards
- 7 TDs
- Played 14 games
- Dealt with an injury late
Here’s what matters:
👉 Round 2 draft capital
👉 Browns invested heavily
👉 Already saw workhorse volume
They also drafted Sampson — but that’s depth, not competition.
The REAL factor:
👉 TERRIBLE O-line last year
If that improves even slightly…
👉 You’re looking at:
- 1,100–1,300 yards
- 10+ TD upside
- Full workload
He’s being drafted as RB2…
👉 But Quinshon Judkins has RB1 upside written all over him.
Cam Ward (QB)
Let’s be honest…
Last year was underwhelming.
Stats:
- 15 TD
- 7 INT
- 2 rushing TD
- QB22 finish
But context matters.
👉 He was a 1st overall pick
That means:
- The team is invested
- The system will improve
- The opportunity is locked
Breakouts for QBs happen in Year 2.
If:
- O-line improves
- weapons improve
Then Cam Ward can jump from:
👉 QB22 → QB12 range
Not elite yet…
But definitely a breakout.
Isaiah Likely (TE)
This is a situation-based breakout.
Best season:
- 477 yards
- 6 TD
Nothing crazy.
BUT NOW:
👉 New team
👉 Paid $40M
👉 Expected to be featured
That’s the key.
You don’t pay a TE like that to:
👉 ignore him
With weak WR competition:
👉 Likely could become a top target
That alone gives him:
👉 Top 10 TE upside

Tyler Shough (QB)
Late-season breakout signs:
👉 5 TDs in last 4 games
That’s important.
Because:
👉 momentum matters
Now:
- Full starter role
- More weapons added
He threw:
- 2,384 yards
- 10 TD
- 6 INT
Not amazing…
But trajectory matters more than totals. 👉 This is a growth breakout candidate
Jaxson Dart (QB)
Here’s the reality:
👉 He’s already priced high (QB7)
Which means expectations are high.
Stats:
- 2,272 yards
- 14 games
- QB13 finish
He didn’t dominate…
But:
👉 High draft capital
👉 Full control of offense
If:
- Malik Nabers returns healthy
- run game improves
Then Dart:
👉 can jump into top 8 QB range

Omarion Hampton (RB)
This is one of your favorite breakout candidates for a reason. He is so good and so talented in a great situation with Justin Herbert and the Chargers! Sign up with Hampton on all fantasy football 2026 rosters!
Why?
👉 They drafted him early
👉 He has elite talent
👉 Situation is CLEAR, and he is the workhorse RB in LA
Last year:
- slowed by injury
- flashes of production
Now:
- No real competition
- Vidal is the backup
- Workhorse path is wide open
If utilized properly, This is a 1,200-yard + 10 TD guy EASY with the talent and the current opportunity with the Chargers.
RJ Harvey (RB)
This one is tricky, but regardless, RJ Harvey is a great draft value in 2026 fantasy football. Sitting as RB 24 on the consensus rankings the sleeper value is there. If he is in a committee, which we believe he will be, RD 5 draft position is fair but we need to see more production this season from the young man.
As I mentioned in the podcast,  “A lot has to happen”
And that’s TRUE.
Needs:
- Dobbins injury
- full opportunity and workload.
But here’s the thing:
👉 Dobbins getting hurt is VERY likely
If that happens:
👉 Harvey becomes an instant RB2 value
Emeka Egbuka (WR)
THIS is one of the best breakout calls. The way that it sits now, he is slated to be the clear-cut WR1.
Stats from last season:
- 127 targets
- 938 yards
- 6 TD
Now the KEY: Mike Evans is gone, and that will, by default, make Emeka Egbuka the WR1. I would assume they will bring in someone else at the WR to share the field with, but he is the alpha on this TB team!
That means:
👉 WR1 role unlocked
This is HUGE.
You’re getting:
- elite route runner
- volume increase
- young breakout profile
Emeka Egbuka has league-winning WR1 upside with the clear path to a ton of volume from his ace QB Baker Mayfield.

Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR)
This is a textbook breakout setup. Marvin Harrison Jr is still the WR1 in Arizona, and that won’t change this season. He is well overdue to have a massive season, and it has to be 2026.
Last year:
- Disappointing overall performance
- Injuries
- Bad QB play
Now:
- Â New QB could help
- Â Contract motivation
- Â Elite pedigree, and that won’t change
You don’t draft a guy this talented… 👉 and NOT get a breakout eventually
This is the year he will never do anything, and his career will be a wash.
Alec Pierce (WR)
This one is about opportunity and them signing him to a 4-year – $1116 million deal, and he is not even WR1 talent. Based on the current situation and what they paid him, he’d better produce WR 1 numbers in 2026. The draft value is pretty good as well, as he is currently ranked WR 38 in PPR rankings.
Stats in 2025:
- 1,003 yards
- 6 TD
Now:
👉 Pittman gone
👉 100+ targets freed up
They HAVE to use him. Even if he’s not elite: Volume alone makes Alec Pierce a solid breakout candidate.

Kenyon Sadiq (TE Rookie)
This is a pure upside play and landing spot, and volume could make Kenyon Sadiq absolutely boom in 2026 fantasy football.
4.39 speed
6’3 / 240 lbs
Stats:
- 51 receptions
- 8 TD last season.
That’s insane for a TE coming out of college.
We’ve seen:
- Sam LaPorta breakout
- rookie TEs produce
If the landing spot is right: 👉 Top 10 TE instantly. We are talking about a guy who not only has speed, but he has size and power. What an amazing combination for a tight end.
Malik Willis (QB)
This is pure chaos upside. Malik is heading into his 5th year and finally gets a chance to be the starter in the NFL. The Dolphins invested a 3-year, $67.5 million deal in him, and they have to use him in 2026 and possibly beyond. This is a rebuilding team, and Malik has the opportunity to really shine this year.
Remember, Malik Willis was a 3rd round pick in 2022, and that is not insane high draft capital, so he really has to prove himself this season.
Career:
- 6 total TD
Not impressive.
BUT:
👉 Now starting
👉 new system
👉 new opportunity
Sometimes:
👉 Backups explode when given a chance, and he finally gets on with the Miami Dolphins. Make of break season for the 26 year old QB.
Jeremiyah Love (RB)
This is your elite rookie breakout. He will eat as long as he is given the volume. The team’s landing spot is crucial to his
Stats:
- 1,372 yards
- 6.9 YPC
- 18 TD
That’s absurd.
Traits:
- speed
- power
- pass catching
👉 Full workhorse profile
Landing spot dependent… but I love Jeremiyah Love!
But upside = RB1
Tetairoa McMillan (WR)
Already producing and is a top-tier talent on a team where he is the clear-cut WR1 without question.
- 1,014 yards
- 7 TD
Now:
👉 No real competition
👉 alpha role secured
Only risk:
👉 sophomore slump
But the situation says that the breakout continues. I can’t imagine the Panthers bringing in anyone to overtake his role as Wide Receiver 1.
Luther Burden III (WR)
Key factor:
👉 DJ Moore is gone
That frees up:
👉 80+ targets minimum
Stats:
- 60 targets
- 652 yards
Late-season surge matters.
👉 Volume increase = breakout
Fernando Mendoza (QB)
Stats:
- 72% completion
- 41 TD
- 6 INT
That is elite efficiency.
Now:
👉 NFL transition
👉 better coaching
Accuracy translates.
TreVeyon Henderson (RB)
He is one of the best RBs in the game. The biggest issue is that Stevenson is there, taking away precious carries from him. It doesn’t look like they will bench Stevenson under any circumstances. We are banking on an injury to his committee backs
Stats:
- 911 yards
- 5.1 YPC
- 9 TD
Problem:
👉 Stevenson is still there, and he will get his share of volume this 2026 season. For some reason, the Patriots’ coaching staff likes him.
But:
👉 Henderson is clearly better and more dynamic at this position.
If volume increases even slightly:
👉 breakout happens

Bhayshul Tuten (RB)
260 touches available.
That’s everything.
If he gets even:
👉 60% of that
He’s instantly relevant.
Ricky Pearsall (WR)
This is simple:
👉 DO SOMETHING OR YOU’RE DONE
Stats:
- 528 yards
- 0 TD
Year 3 = breakout or bust
Tre Harris (WR)
Second-round pick, and didn’t see much volume at all last season. They need to use him as a WR1 IN 2026, and he is very capable. Keenan Allen needs to go away fast, and they need to feed Tre Harris, who is young and capable.
He is a big-time sleeper who has upside and could really break out this 2026 fantasy football season.
Needs:
👉 volume
If they remove Keenan Allen:
👉 breakout unlocked
Bryce Young (QB)
Sitting at QB 25, you only want to consider Young as a backup QB or as a QB two in a super-flex as best. He has had years to wow us, and we are not wowed yet. Make or break season for him as well, to prove he can continue in the league as a starter.
Stats:
- 3,011 yards last season
- 23 TD and 11 interceptions
His stats and performances have been terrible, hence why he must rise to the occasion this season.
This is it.
👉 Make or break season

Oronde could shine in 2026 fantasy breakout upside (Photo by Scott Winters/Icon Sportswire)
Oronde Gadsden (TE)
The only catch is passing TE on the Chargers, who has a real opportunity to shine in 2026. He is currently ranked in the top 10 among TEs on the consensus rankings. Last year, his stat line was not outstanding, but he has upside. He ended up with 664 yards receiving, 49 receptions, and only 3 TDs.
We saw small flashes that he could be solid, and he has Justin Herbert throwing him the ball. The main thing we have to watch is that the Chargers don’t bring in another WR and they get rid of Keenan Allen. This will open things up for Gadsden and give him more targets in 2026.
Trey Benson (RB)
Trey Benson has one last chance to prove if he can be a viable RB in the NFL. The Cardinals clearly don’t believe in him because they re-signed James Conner and brought in Tyler Allgeier.
👉 “Career is almost over” if he doesn’t do anything this season.
This is the last chance to outshine the mediocre competition in Arizona. To be honest this is a long shot, as I don’t believe the Cardinals believe in Benson at all.
Kyle Monangai (RB)
Opportunity-based, and the Bears don’t really have tough competition at the running back position.
Needs:
👉 volume + role clarity
He really needs to step up and improve on the 169 attempts, 783 yards, and 5 rushing TD stat line.
🔥 FINAL STRATEGY
Breakouts come from:
- opportunity
- talent
- usage
NOT rankings.
If you follow:
👉 CUDDY system
You will:
- spot breakouts early
- avoid busts
- dominate drafts
