The Fantasy Football Counselor lays out the top 10 players you can get for value in your drafts this upcoming NFL 2022 Season.

Top 10 Buy Low Fantasy Football Players 2022

  1. Russell Wilson
  2. AJ Dillon
  3. Kareem Hunt
  4. Devonta Smith
  5. Adam Thielen
  6. Amon-Ra St Brown
  7. Calvin Ridley
  8. Chris Godwin
  9. Darnell Mooney
  10. Michael Carter

1. Russell Wilson

Russell Wilson has a stud and one bad year is not going to ruin it for me. He has been a consistent fantasy football producer for years and I don’t feel 2022 is going to change that. He had a down year last year with only 3113 passing yards, 25 TDs, and 6 interceptions. This lackluster performance put him 15th in PRR among other Quarterbacks. I don’t see him having a worse year next year. When fully healthy and playing the full season, Russell could be a top 5 Fantasy QB again. There is talk about him being traded which could affect his value. This could help him either boom more or bust. I would assume a happy home for him would only help him improve across the board. I think he will be of great value in drafts

2. AJ Dillon

I am not sure if you know this or not but AJ Dillon had more rushing attempts than his RB1 Aaron Jones in 2021. Yes, you better believe it. Dillon had 187 Rushing attempts compared to Aaron Jones’ 171. This happened quietly and the mainstream is not even mentioning it. I think Dillon continues to step up and gain more of the workload in 2022. I like the upside and I believe the fantasy football draft value will be good as well.

3. Kareem Hunt

I am not a big fan of Hunt, but I think due to the fact that he was hurt last year you can get him for a value this year. He typically outperforms Nick Chubb in PPR numbers on a game-to-game basis. I think a lot of people will sleep on him in 2022, and recency bias always plays a role when people are doing their fantasy football drafts. Kareem Hunt has two solid seasons left in him at least. I think he may be a steal in drafts this year.

4. Devonta Smith

Jalen Hurt and the Devonta Smith connection is for real. While we saw glimpses of it, I don’t feel we saw the full potential of what could be here. I like the upside of Smith and he has not reached his ceiling. The Eagles need to make some improvement across the board to help Hurt get the ball out better and more efficiently. The rapport with Smith and Hurts will continue to grow and I think it could be special in 2022. Many people may sleep on Smith simply because he finished 30th among WRs in ppr. There will be an improvement for next year for sure!

5. Adam Thielen

Adam Thielen looked great early on in the season and the injury at the end of the season destroyed his fantasy football value. He ended up 28th in PPR among WRs and that will be enough to lower his draft value in 2022. He has high games in Week 1, 6, and 12 to name a few, and then fell off at the end of the season with that injury. I am looking for him to be a buy-low player due to the fact that Jefferson will be valued a lot higher and people will sleep on Adam Thielen.

6. Amon-Ra St. Brown

This is my ” I Told you So player”. St. Brown Shocked the mainstream consensus but finished 21st among WRs in PPR points and this guy was going undrafted in fantasy leagues. I mentioned you should grab him in my 16 Rounds Draft solution. Aside from that, no one else even talked about him. I think his ADP will be higher this year by miles, but you may still get him for a decent deal. He really starting to turn it up on Week 13 of his rookie season. He has boom ability for sure.

7. Calvin Ridley

I am hoping Calvin Ridley gets his head straight going into NFL 2022. He has that boom potential and a lot of people will sleep on him as he only played 5 games last year.

8. Chris Godwin

Tons of upside for this man as he is entering free agency. Chris Godwin is a very talented player, and with the volume, he can easily be a top 5 WR. If he ends up with Brady the volume may not be there. I would like to see him on a team that will give him the lions share of the volume.

9. Darnell Mooney

A quiet sleeper that will be off of many people’s radars. Darnell Mooney can be a consistent producer with a ton of talent. The QB situation was a big mess in Chicago and he still finished 23rd among WRs in PPR fantasy points. I like the talent and if gets the volume he could thrive. I like the fact that they fired Nagy and bringing in a new coach can really help his care and the case for all other offensive weapons on the bears. There is some upside here and I think you can still get him for values in drafts.

10. Michael Carter

Another Sleeper I mentioned in my Draft Solution last year. Michael Carter led the NYJ in rushing attempts by a large margin. He had 147 attempts compared to his RB2 Counterpart Ty Johnson who only had 61. I hope the Jets make some solid improvements at QB and give the ball to Michael Carter a lot more in 2022.
