These guys have all the upside and opportunity in the world to shine this season. Be sure to consider targeting them in your drafts. I dive into these players and explain the massive upside and opportunity for each.
Top 10 Boom Fantasy Football Players 2021
- Saquon Barkley
- Calvin Ridley
- Cam Akers
- Justin Herbert
- Trevor Lawrence
- DJ Chark
- TJ Hockenson
- Kyle Pitts
- Najee Harris
- Ja’Marr Chase
Saquon Barkley
Due for a major bounceback season Saquon should really shine this year leaving the other RBs in the dust when it comes to fantasy points. He is the main guy there and will not see any competition in the backfield. Finally, the Giants have some WRs and this will help defenses key in on them instead of just the run game. i am over the moon excited to see a major bounceback season from Barkley as we head into 2021. The Ceiling is really high for him and he is easily a boom player going into the season.
Calvin Ridley
Opportunity knocks for this young man as we head into the NFL season. With Julio being shipped off the sky really is the limit. Matt Ryan threw the ball more than any other QB last season, so with Calvin being the true WR1, you will have to expect a boom-type of season. Ridley could really take off to new levels this season.
Cam Akers
I am more excited about Cam Akers than pretty much any other RB this season. Another guy who doesn’t have any competition in the backfield look for him to be the every-down back for the Rams. McVay has already stated it and we say a major volume uptick last season. I love the talent and the upside for Cam.
Justin Herbert
All signs point to Justin having a great 2021 NFL Fantasy season. He finished 9th last year amongst the QB and I only see him doing better this year. Talent, youth, and upside are all here for this young stud and the future face of the NFL.
Trevor Lawrence
Sitting 15th on the Consensus rankings among the sheep analysts, a lot of people will be sleeping on Lawrence this upcoming NFL season. I am not suggesting you draft him as your starter, but he would make a great backup with major upside. He was drafted first overall for many reasons and that is appealing enough for me in fantasy football. I like the boom potential and upside here for Trevor.
DJ Chark
If you are high on Lawrence, then you have to consider his WR1 DJ Chark. I like the upside and the opportunity here as well. Chark has shown us flashes that he could be great but never had that ace QB until not. Everyone except me is sleeping in the NFL drafts first overall picks #1 target. Great fantasy value with major boom potential.
TJ Hockenson
This one is simple for me. The Lions don’t have any wide receivers. Aside from drafting a potential stud rookie in Amon-Ra St Brown, they have nothing at WR. This opens the door for Hockenon. Don’t sleep as he is slated to get a ton of volume and opportunity.
Kyle Pitts
Kyle can make a case for the most physically talented offensive players. With Julio gone you are looking at about 150 free targets that are up for grabs.
Najee Harris
The volume, talent, and youth are all here for Najee Harris. The Steelers needed a workhorse back and they finally got it. I am over the moon excited about Najee Harris this season. His work ethic looks great as he stays late from practice as well.
Ja’Marr Chase
Joe Burrow and Chase connection could be special. I will pay nothing to draft Chase and love to find out.
