Fantasy Football Impact of Leonard Fournette. The new trade to the Bucs raises some questions about Tampa Bay’s backfield. The Counselor clears things up and lets you know if you should draft Fournette.
Listen Leonard Fournette is entering major committee whether you like it or not. He should theoretically be the starter there without a doubt. But the problem is that Ronald Jones worked really hard to earn that starting job. The fact that the Bucs acquired Fournette clearly shows that they do not believe in Ronald Jones. Any way you look at this, I hate this RB committee and I will be staying away for fantasy football 2020. There is too many red flags that indicate that Lenny might not get the full workload. Brady likes to use multiple weapons and RB’s in the system and he did this in New England. I don’t see this changing much.
There is also Lesean McCoy in the committee and he can also be a pest for Leonard Fournette. Not to mention that Fournette still has to learn the playbook and adapt to the new system and offense. Finally, Leonard Fournette is a guy that has shown a steady sign of injuries in the past. This injury history may play a factor in the performance this year as well. At the end of the day, I am staying away for these reasons and so much more. I forgot to mention there is also a ton of mouths to feed, including Godwin and Bradys favorite target Gronkowski.
When you look at drafting an RB, you want to minimize the number of question marks with that player. Looking at the Tampa Bucs offense I have too many question marks. Brady is the safest guy to draft on this team and that’s it!
