Top 10 Fantasy Football Sleepers 2021. The Counselor lays out some great value draft pick-ups this season. Be sure to target them on your rosters.
- Matt Ryan
- Carson Wentz
- Trevor Lawrence
- Najee Harris
- Diontae Johnson
- Cooper Kupp
- DJ Chark
- Robby Anderson
- Javonte Williams
- Elijah Moore
Let’s dive into the details of these players as I explain why they are sleepers and why you should target them in your drafts this season.
1. Matt Ryan
There is a ton of great things to say about this consistent fantasy producer. Matt Ryan throws more than any other NFL QB in the league (626 attempts in 2020). I love the upside coming off a down year last year and finishing 12th among QBs. No way but up for a guy who has Calvin Ridley and Kyle Pitts as targets to throw to.
2. Carson Wentz
Don’t sleep on this guy who is sitting behind one of the best O-lines in the league coming off a team with the worst O-lines in the league. Love the upside and the talent here. While I was not a fan of him on the Eagles. Carson Wentz can really thrive in Indianapolis. I also like Michael Pittman as a sneaky sleeper as well with a ton of upside. There is a bonus one for you right there.
3. Trevor Lawrence
This kinda reminds me of when I got Patrick Mahomes for a steal before he broke out. Now I am not saying that Trevor Lawrence is Pat, but the talent and the fantasy football upside is definitely there. You can get Lawrence as a backup for a great value and he could boom and literally become a top 10 fantasy football QB.
4. Najee Harris
While you may not this Harris is a sleeper he actually is. The mainstream consensus have him ranked 15 amongst the other RBs. Najee is in a prime position to succeed and can easily finish TOP 5-10 among RBs this season. The talent and opportunity are there for him to thrive with the Steelers. I will make sure I have him on all my rosters this season. Do not hesitate to draft him ahead of Austin Ekeler, Nick Chubb, Joe Mixon, and others. Talent and work ethic here will shine and this is one you will not regret.
5. Diontae Johnson
Having Diontae Johnson outside of the top 10 WRs is crazy. He was the number one targeted man on the Steelers last year with 144 targets. His rapport going into 2021 with Big Ben will only get better. We know the Steelers and Ben throw more than just about anyone else in the league and Diontae will eat.
6. Cooper Kupp
Everyone is sleeping on the WR in LA. Sitting 21st among WRs in the sheep rankings, I will be targeting Kupp whenever and however I can. He is a perfect example of the talent that you can get for value at the WR position in mid rounds. He is falling to rd 5 at times and that is not bad considering you would have already secured your ace RBs when you pick him up and maybe another solid WR ahead of him. Love the steal of the draft in Cooper Kupp who has got an upgrade at QB.
7. DJ Chark
Chark has shown use flashes that he could be great. Now he actually as a QB that could make him great! I love the upside and the talent here and of course the fantasy football draft value. I will look to target Chark in my drafts this year after RD 5.
8. Robby Anderson
How is this guy ranked 32 on the sheep rankings? This is crazy considering he is the WR1 on the Panthers. I remember getting him in the draft after RD 10 last year while the sheep were suggesting you draft DJ Moore Rd 3 and he busted. Robby beat out Moore in fantasy points last year and I don’t see that changing as he reunites with Darnold in a better situation in Carolina.
9. Javonte Williams
Don’t sleep on the upside of Javonte Williams who should take over that job in Denver over the aging Melvin Gordon. Williams will get a ton of opportunities to shine, and I believe based on his talent in college he will.
10. Elijah Moore
The Jets believe in him and the new offense they have created. Moore could be the steal of the NFL 2021 reality draft and could be the steal of the fantasy draft as well. Volume, talent and the opportunity is there for him to crush it this year. Great value in drafts as he is ranked 67 among WRs in PPR on the consensus rankings. Stash away and you won’t be disappointed.
