Do Not Draft these Fantasy Football Players in 2022

  • Christian McCaffrey
  • Dalvin Cook
  • Cooper Kupp
  • Davante Adams
  • Tyreek Hill
  • Josh Allen

You don’t want to overpay for these guys as their average draft position is way too high! 16 Rounds Draft Solution will help you know where to get the best players in each round without overpaying!

Welcome to the show guys, big episode here today. We are talking about, do not overpay for top players, fantasy football draft strategy, and we’re talking big names. Christian McCaffrey, for example, is currently ranked the number two running back in fantasy football, amongst running backs, which is absolutely ludicrous. It’s absolutely insane, and it’s absolutely crazy. I’m here to tell you, you don’t need to overpay for these guys. You can get somebody better later.

This is a very important episode, to help you guys with your draft. As we’re here, we are talking about fantasy football in the off-season. It keeps you excited, keeps you in the groove, keeps you focused and honed in as we approach the NFL draft, and then the fantasy football season.

Let’s dive into these guys here that you don’t want to overpay for. I’ve got a list, I’m excited about this list because I’m here to help you guys prevent a catastrophic waste of an early draft pick. That’s my goal here. I don’t want you guys to waste any early draft picks on anything. I want you guys to be secure. I want you to be happy. I want you guys to be content with all of your picks. I want you guys to have the optimal players at each position.

I explain that in 16 rounds. In this video, I’m going to explain these guys that are overrated, you don’t want to overpay.

Christian McCaffrey

CMC has only played 10 games in the past 2 years!

Christian McCaffrey

Let’s start off with the first guy I’ve got here, and this is absolutely ludicrous here, absolutely ludicrous. The mainstream consensus, have Christian McCaffrey ranked at number two amongst running backs. Now, if you want Christian McCaffrey, you are going to have to overpay for him, because he is coming off in the top four picks. This is not my decision, this is what the consensus does. They take these consensuses, these mainstream rankings, and they plug them into your NFL draft platform, whatever platform you’re using to host your leagues. What happens is, these rankings come in, and your league mates are theoretically going to be drafting based on this average draft position. Christian McCaffrey is currently sitting number two amongst running backs, which is, again, absolutely ludicrous.

Why? He’s only finished, listen to this guy. He’s only finished 10 games in the past two seasons. I just saw an ad come up with him, modeling for Gillette. He’s doing a lot of modeling. He was at the Oscars show. Again, for me, I like the hungry running back. The Javonte Williams of the world, not the guys that have hit their pinnacle and are now too busy to be training, because they’re modeling. Now, you can make a debate that it’s off-season, it is what it is. The guy’s been modeling like crazy. A lot of ads, a lot of showmanship, stuff like that. Has he lost his hunger? Evidence is showing me. Don’t tell me, show me. He’s been showing me and showing everybody, he’s not getting it done on the field. If you look at his injury last year, it was a hamstring injury. Nobody touched him.

We’re talking about the best athletes in the world, theoretically. Why aren’t you taking care of your body? Now, I wasn’t the best athlete in the world, but I took care of my body, and I was durable and strong enough to survive MMA fights and little league baseball, stuff like that. Listen, I know I didn’t play on a professional level. I get it. But, I did push my body through some amazing physical imitations. I did have an amateur MMA career, only one and one, but that’s not the point. The point I’m trying to make is, nobody touched him, and he got hurt. He’s only played 10 games the last two seasons. That’s all I need to see and the modeling. Christian McCaffrey, I definitely see an opportunity for him too, if healthy, come back and re-surge into top 10 status.

Am I paying a second overall pick or a top-five pick for him? No, I’m not going to do it. I don’t want you guys to overpay, there are better backs. 16 rounds explain it. Again, subscribe to the channel, we’ll go over it.

Dalvin Cook

The second guy here you’re going to have to overpay for if you want him, and I don’t see the fascination at all. The guy is Dalvin Cook. I’m looking at his numbers last year, he finished 16th amongst running backs in PPR, 4.7 yards per carry. Six rushing touchdowns, 1,159 yards on 249 attempts. Similar to Christian McCaffrey,, we’ve seen what Dalvin Cook can do. We saw his pinnacle year in 2020. He had a good year, with 293 points. He still only played 14 games. He hasn’t finished his season in his entire career. With Dalvin Cook, you got to understand that he’s hit his pinnacle.

He’s never finished a season. He has never finished a season. You’ve got to ask yourself, by the way, sitting number five on the consensus rankings. They like to save face with these loser players. This guy’s a loser. He’s going to miss games. It’s not a matter of, is Dalvin Cook going to miss a few games? It’s not a question, it’s about which games is he going to miss? That’s the question. Is it going to be your fantasy football playoffs? Is it going to be week five, when the rest of your team craps the bad and you need that running back to give you a boost, and you lose by two or three points? Is it going to be the fantasy championships, right at the end of the wire’s going to miss that last week?

What is it? He’s going to miss games, I guarantee it. And the fact that the mainstream consensus, the consheepsus, the sheep mentality, herd mentality losers in the industry have this guy ranked number five amongst running backs. He has not finished a season. Now, typically they copy and paste a majority of their stuff. Najee Harris was outside their top 10 last year. This year, Najee Harris is sitting six. Why? None of you guys had him in your top 10, except for me, The Counselor. Now you’re riding Najee Harris, but they feel like they want to save face, and they put Dalvin Cook here in the top 10. It’s absolutely ludicrous. You do not want to overpay for a guy. He’s coming off in the first round, period. That’s where his ADP is going to be. People are going to draft him. I hope you guys don’t because he’s going to miss time, guaranteed.

Cooper Kupp

Cooper Kupp is due for a decline

Cooper Kupp

All right, next guy here. Number three, Cooper Kupp. I’m going to keep talking about this, I’m going to sound like a broken record because I don’t care. Cooper Kupp had a pinnacle. You’re saying, “Joe, I’ve heard this story, he had a pinnacle year. A slight decline is not a big deal.” But you’re going to overpay for him if you grab him. You’re going to overpay for a guy who is 150,000 million bazillion trillion, what’s more than trillion? I don’t even know. Okay, 150 bazillion chance that he’s going to decline. This is like Dalvin Cook missing a season. This is like Christian McCaffrey getting hurt again. I don’t know how to say this, emphasize this to you. He will decline. I had the same debate in 2020, with Michael Thomas coming off that pinnacle year. I said “Don’t draft Michael Thomas guys. He’s coming off this Cinderella year, man. He wore the heel, he was in that pumpkin carriage. It turned into this amazing carriage, and the prince put the sandal on. Whatever the Cinderella story is, this fairytale.”

The point I’m trying to make, I don’t know the whole thing, but what I’m trying to tell you here is that Michael Thomas had that. Cooper Kupp guys, believe it or not, had that. It was such a Cinderella ball and gala and all this stuff. It was so extravagant, it was actually bigger than Michael Thomas’ 2019 year. 191 targets, 145 receptions. Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me right now? He’s not going to hit these numbers again. You’re saying, “Joe, a slight decline Joe, it’s just going to be a slight decline. Don’t worry. I’m still going to get Cooper Kupp. He’s still a top receiver.”

It just frustrates me with that mentality, because again, 16 touchdowns, 1,947 yards. Antonio Brown 2015 didn’t achieve these numbers. It blows my mind how the mainstream, just because he finished on top, put him on top again. You’re saying, “Joe, because he finished on top, you know you have to put him-” no you don’t. Again, this is why rankings are dead. This is why I created a 16 round draft solution, is because you have to go for the optimal players in each position, and avoid players who are going to be declined at that position. Cooper Kupp, I’m fading him. I’m not overpaying for a guy coming off a pinnacle year. He’s going to decline. Period. Superbowl hangover with the Rams, I don’t trust it. There are better wide receivers that are going to emerge ahead of him.

I like Jamar chase better. Frankly, he hasn’t even hit his ceiling. Cooper Kupp, I’m avoiding. Do not overpay for this guy. Believe me, do not overpay for this guy. Do not do it. Even if he comes back and has a great year, I don’t care. I’m getting a running back in round one anyway.

Davante Adams

Next guy here, I’ve got three more to go here, maybe a bonus one as well. Davante Adams, sitting at number four on the consensus rankings. Again, similarly to last year, we are talking a Davante Adams on the Packers, with 169 targets, rapport with Aaron Rogers, and all that stuff. “Joe, from what I hear, he has rapport in college with Derek Carr. That’s what people are telling me.” Yes, but this is the NFL, and Derek Carr, as we’ve seen, is not that good.

I don’t know how to tell you this guys. I don’t want to break this news to you, Raiders fans. You got to come to the realization that Derek Carr is not that good. Derek Carr has had since 2014 to prove himself. We are going into 2022. One year, okay. Two, three, four years, he’s had his chance. Now we’re going into his sixth, seventh year. Guys, this guy is not good. He is not good at all. At the end of the day, when you are looking at him when you’re looking at Derek Carr and Davante Adams, you’ve got to look at a connection here that was in college, but I don’t think it’s going to continue. I just don’t think it’s going to continue on a high level, the same level the Packers had with Aaron Rogers Adams. Derek Carr/Adams, it’s going to be a safe connection, but not some guy I’m going to pay a first-round pick for.

Davante Adams Fantasy Impact

Adams May Have a Volume problem in 2022

Tyreek Hill

The next guy here is Tyreek Hill. Very simple guys, out in Miami, Tua is not proven. I don’t trust Tyreek Hill. This is a guy that was volatile with Pat Mahomes. Game in, game out, he was very volatile. Tyreek Hill is not a guy I trust. Tyreek Hill is a guy that is going to be extremely volatile and may lack that volume. New offense, a new team is going to be safe. Am I paying, he’s the number six wide receiver overall, am I paying a late first-round pick? Absolutely not. I do not trust Tyreek Hill at all. Period. Zilch, nada. Tyreek Hill, for me, I’m out on him. Very volatile with Pat Mahomes, now he is with Tua, I don’t really trust Tua. At the time of recording, Tua was slated as a starter, and I don’t really trust that. Jaylen Waddle is there, suspect offense, suspect team, new offense. We’re going to have to see what they have to do in the NFL draft.

I definitely see the talent. I definitely see him having some big games, but even on the Chiefs, I didn’t draft him, because he had five or six games where he had three or six, or eight points. Very low wide receiver, three wide receivers, four numbers in those games, volatile with Mahomes. Unless Tua completely targets him, and he becomes this monster with volume, I’m not paying that early price, period.

Josh Allen

For the last one here, I’m going to do a one-two combo. Josh Allen and Herbert. I got these guys in the fifth, sixth round over the past couple of years. I’m not paying a second-round pick for them. Why are they being drafted early in the second round, in a one quarterback league? Simple guys, it is because they finished on top last year, respectively, at one and two, or one and three at their position.

Josh Allen, Justin Herbert, there’s better value at quarterback. Russell Wilson, there are other guys you can get later that are going to give you solid numbers. These guys are probably going to decline anyway. We’ve seen it through the years. Lamar Jackson had that big year a couple of years ago, everyone drafted him and in the second round, he fell off, finished top 10 or 12, fell off significantly. Pat Mahomes, I drafted him in the 10th round the year he broke out. Then he was top two, I faded him, and then he fell off a bit. Do not overpay for quarterbacks coming off pinnacle years. There’s a ton of depth at quarterback, especially in a one-quarterback league. You get yourself a good quarterback and a solid backup, and not even be phased by this. I always look for that fifth-round value quarterback.

I explain all that in the 16 round draft solution, and I don’t overpay for Josh Allen. I want to secure the most secure position, the most scarce position, which is running back, in rounds one and two. The point of this video is, do not to overpay. That’s the statement here. There are better players to get, there’s more value, I explained all of that here on this channel. Make sure you guys subscribe, thumbs up in the comments below. Who are you not overpaying for? I’d love to get your feedback, but do not overpay for these guys coming off pinnacle years. Injury-prone, I’m staying away. Too expensive for me, I like them at value.

I got Cooper Kupp in the fourth round last year, for example. I will not pay for that this year again. Tons of depth at wide receiver and, of course, at quarterback. Thanks, guys for being here. Subscribe, thumbs up, and get that 16 round draft solution. I’m out.
