5 Fantasy Football RB Sleepers 2022
- Saquon Barkley
- David Montgomery
- Dameon Pierce
- Tyler Allgeier
- Isaiah Spiller
1. Saquon Barkley
Saquon Bakley is going to be a league winner this season. He is currently sitting 14 in PPR among RBs and is an absolute steal in drafts. The main thing you have to look at is that he has no committee and is in a prime position to succeed. He is also in a contract year and is in must perform situation. He is also really talented and is really overdue for another great season since his rookie year. You have to consider that injury can happen, but that is true with almost any player in the NFL.
If there was any year that you see Barkley bounce back, it has to be the 2022 Fantasy Football NFL season. The value of drafting him in rounds 2-3 is an absolute steal because you are getting that RB one for a great value. Target him in RD 2 of all your drafts this season.
2. David Montgomery
Another stud with no running back committee is being slept on this season is David Montgomery. He no longer will be hindered by the shackles of his old coach Nagy, who is gone now. I really feel that David was held back for many years, and it is his time to shine. I also like his value as well, because he is an RB 1 and he is primed for at least a 240 attempt season with a minimum of 10 TDs on the ground. The ceiling and upside are here for him, so don’t sleep.
3. Dameon Pierce
When you want to discuss an RB that is in a plug-and-play position, you have to consider Dameon Pierce. The Texans are suspect for sure but you have to consider the fact that Dameon is in a prime position to really thrive and be the RB 1 right away. This is a late-round sleeper, you just stash your RB 4 and hope for the best. The stars are lined up for him to be the #1, it just has to happen now for him. It literally won’t cost you much to roster him. He will at least end up with 800 yards and 6 TDS on the ground as a floor. The ceiling is high for Dameon though.
4. Tyler Allgeier
Tyler Allgeier is another guy that is and could be a free and clear RB1 in Atlanta. Patterson is there but he is more of a WR. 5″10, 220 lbs and is going to get some solid rushing yards this season, and Patterson will be the pass-catching guy. This is later round stash as well and I really like the ceiling here too. He is in a prime position to succeed and I really don’t see Patterson as a threat for taking away the volume from Allgeier.
5. Isaiah Spiller
This is a deeper sleeper at the RB position. Ekeler has not really proven that he is a full workhorse RB, and this is why we have Spiller in the mix. He can and will be a workhorse goal-line guy. Last year Ekeler had 12 rushing TDs and that is going down this year for sure. They brought in Spiller to lighten the load off Ekeler. I feel a lot of people will be upset this season when Ekler loses a lot of rushing attempts and goal-line work to Spiller. I will stash him later in drafts to watch the fireworks.
